Christopher Robert Evans, born June 13, 1981, is an American actor. Beginning his career in television Evans portrayed roles such as Opposite sex in 2000. Evans became famous because of his performance as the Human Torch Marvel Comics character in the film Fantastic Four, and the sequel Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007). Evans appeared in further film adaptations of comic books and graphic novels such as TMNT (2007) Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010) and Snowpiercer (2013). Evans gained more attention for his role as Steve Rogers / Captain America in several Marvel Cinematic Universe films namely Captain America: The First Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) and Captain America: Civil War and the ensemble films The Avengers Age of Ultron (2015) Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Endgame (2019). Within the Marvel universe, the role as Steve Rogers/Captain America made him the world's highest paid actor.
